Ways these Denver Broncos together with the flexible QB can stop that Chiefs' dominance.

Week six of the 2025 NFL season
Live coverage includes live text for the weekend matchups via various channels, beginning with Denver Broncos v New York Jets at Tottenham (kicking off at 2 PM BST). Additionally, radio commentary is available on select stations covering a separate game (from 21:00 BST).
We're in the sixth week of the NFL season , following last week's discussion regarding two top teams as a potential Super Bowl match-up, they both surrendered their unbeaten records.
Notable during those contests were the amount of infractions each committed. The Eagles did so at crucial times so they kind of beat themselves having led by two touchdowns going into the fourth period versus the Denver Broncos, who play overseas this Sunday.
However it was good to observe how Denver's QB Bo Nix managed to overcome the shortfall before lead three successful possessions on three possessions during the final period, to win the game 21-17.
Denver boast the defensive player of the year in cornerback their star corner. They rank first in red zone defence, whereas Philadelphia lead the league in scoring near the end zone, and the Broncos won that battle.
They had the Eagles' number in terms of simulated pressure. They weren't always rushing extra pass rushers instead they could plug two linebackers in the 'A' gap before drop them out and send a nickel off the edge.
At the start of the season, we said during a show how the Broncos might emerge as the current year's dark horses. They ended last season well then excelled in continuing that momentum.
Could Denver be this year's underdog story?
Recently acquired TE their tight end has excelled significantly and new RB JK Dobbins is a player they believe in. He's currently 5th league-wide in ground gains (402) and tied-fourth in rushing scores (four).
I love that the coach Sean Payton has "RUSH!" prominently on his call sheet.
This demonstrates how Denver are a squad that wants to prioritize the run, since one can do a lot based on that approach. It reduces opposing rushes while maintains in favourable down and distances.
This has benefited quarterback Bo Nix, who entered the NFL as a first-round selection in the prior draft, passing for 29 touchdown passes – second only to a star QB for the rookie record (31 in 2020).
Josh Allen and Herbert possess the arm strength to pass all over, however they lack in the same way that Nix has. He boasts exceptional passing ability, a unique trait, and he's so athletic.
His strengths are his mobility, the capacity to pass on the run, as well as using different arm angles to make throws as he moves out of the pocket, on rollouts. He can throw that layered pass over the middle or past defenders.
For a young quarterback, at 25, he displays a lot of poise under pressure and is not really fazed by the blitz. He aims to avoid being tackled whenever possible and is able pass in tight spots. He possesses a high football IQ and is quick to decide.
If you constantly run the ball it eats up time and makes the opponent to stay in play for longer, and when you've got an athletic quarterback the defence has to cover the field vertically and horizontally. It can be exhausting.
Nix has pushed back at Payton on the sideline sometimes and I think the coach likes that fire, that he's such a competitor. In my view it's exciting for him to coach a young quarterback who's similar to moldable clay. He can truly develop him the way he desires to shape him. I think it's a unique opportunity for the coach.
The head coach owns a championship and now passed Bill Parcells for career NFL wins (173, tying for 14th). He's seen it all. In my opinion the achievements the Broncos are having on offence is largely down to his guidance, his play-calling, his situational awareness – and the combination with Nix aids make him into who he is.
You wouldn't want a better guy in your ear, to help you during some of the tougher situations and build self-belief.
I believe in the Broncos' defense, in the QB's grit and calm. But is the team strong enough to face an elite team at full strength? Because that wasn't a Super Bowl performance by the Eagles last Sunday.
Currently, I don't think Denver are incredible. They're performing above average, which is a good place to be in their division. The key is to continue this path.
They excel at leaning into their forte, that is the ground game, and that's precisely what they should do versus the New York Jets at Tottenham. It's going to be a Dobbins-focused game, essentially.
New York have surrendered 140 yards on the ground per game (sixth worst), five rushing touchdowns this season (in the bottom ten), and they are the only team without a win a game.
Ever since the NFL started recording turnovers in 1933, the Jets are also the first team to go without any turnovers in five outings, this is surprising when you think that their new coach was previously defensive co-ordinator at the Detroit Lions.
The Chiefs' QB says the Chiefs are off to a poor start after a recent loss by the Jaguars.
Following the upcoming matchup, Denver face a manageable slate until their bye (in week twelve) - the New York Giants, Dallas Cowboys, the Texans and the Raiders before the Chiefs.
Looking at their division, the Chiefs hold a losing record and the Broncos are even with the Chargers at 3-2 meaning they could challenge at leading the West.
It depends upon which form Kansas City shows up they face since the Broncos {beat|def
